Ask what they liked best, didn't like, what brings them to house party? Why do they come in the first place?

Why should I even invite my friends to church?

The answer is that we should invite our friends to church because of people like you.

Your life, your surroundings, and your future has been altered and surrounded by the love of Christ - all because someone invited you.

The power of an invitation lies not in us as inviters or in anything we do or say. The power lies in the fact that the invitation is the 'come and see' the wonder of our God.

This is why we invite.

He knows that peace, comfort, endurance, strength, and life-change happens when we embrace these things and put Him first. But it starts with recognizing that He loves us and wants good for us. Then we start to realize that just like He loved us and brought us to know Him, He also cares for and loves those who are currently far from Him.

This is why we do what we do.

We start to develop a heart of compassion for those who are lost, broken, confused, addicted, frustrated, ashamed, dirty, and left out. We take action by inviting and bringing people along the way.

Read through all or some of the scripture but focus on talking deeper into the points of why we invite friends to church or house party. (If applicable, share about the last 3 people you invited to church. How you did it, what you said, what they described from the experience etc.)

John 1:43-50

"The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, 'Come, follow me.' 44 Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter’s hometown.45 Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, 'We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.'46 'Nazareth!' exclaimed Nathanael. 'Can anything good come from Nazareth?''Come and see for yourself,' Philip replied. 47 As they approached, Jesus said, 'Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity.'48 'How do you know about me?' Nathanael asked.Jesus replied, 'I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you.'49 Then Nathanael exclaimed, 'Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!'

50 Jesus asked him, 'Do you believe this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.' 51 Then he said, 'I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.'"

Matthew 28:18-20

"Jesus came and told his disciples, 'I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'"

1 Peter 3:15

"Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it."

Acts 1:8

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Romans 1:16

"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile."
